Award-winning PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) Black is a unique water-based flexographic black ink for the direct print corrugated market. PCR Black utilizes inks and toners recovered during the inkjet and toner cartridge recycling process.
BCM Inks developed this innovative product in association with Close the Loop Inc. Part of the outstanding success of this ink is due to the fact that for every 450-pound drum of PCR Black that is produced, some 200,000 inkjet cartridges are saved from landfills.
PRC Black provides an excellent alternative to other general use black inks. It is a viable print option for kraft or mottled white substrates. PCR Black is a rich, dense black ink that transfers well, has great rub resistance and in many cases has helped increase press speeds.
PCR Black contains no heavy metals (i.e., lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium) per the Toxics in Packaging Clearinghouse/Coalition of Northeastern Governors. It also contains no heavy air pollutants.
