You survived!
My experience occurred last year. Click here to read about what happened and what I learned.

G7 Provides Opportunity for the Corrugated Market,
BCM Develops ISO 12647-6 G7 Set of Inks to Capitalize
ISO 12647-6 is the Flexographic Printing Standard. It’s supported globally for supply chain partners. It includes process tools and plate requirements. BCM Inks was involved with an FTA test which tried to determine if post print near neutral calibration (G7) could be used to recommend common aim characterization datasets for supply chain partners. The test showed that using G7 calibration on coated and uncoated substrates does align with common aim points.
BCM’s (CMY) ink set aligns hue angles to ISO 12647-6 and therefore, produces similar color gamuts across the various substrates.
What does this really mean? CPC’s will want to position more business to G7 certified printers because of print consistency/quality. This will save the CPC’s time and money. It will also mean that if you are a converter you will want to become a G7 certified printer. It will help you secure existing business and open doors for new opportunities.
For further information contact Scott Miller, BCM’s National Technical/Sales Manager, who was involved with the test and presented a portion of the results at the recent National FTA Meeting in Nashville, TN.
