Volume 3 No. 2 – What’s New?

By David Callif, President of BCM INKS

“What’s New?”

This is a question I hear on every call I make with my BCM associates.  It seems like everyone is interested in “What’s New”.  Everyone wants to know how the new product or idea can build business, improve efficiency, and/or save money.

This Spring newsletter gives you some new product ideas from a couple of paper companies, Kemi and Rieger.  Their new substrates used in conjunction with the right inks, plates, presses, etc. can make a difference.  For example, we see in Europe the use of lighter weight liner as a way to reduce costs yet maintain or enhance direct print graphics.

We need to be aware of this and address it in North America.

Kemi and Reieger are two of Europe’s top paper companies.  Two of their Technical managers, Steve Rote from Kemi and Gerhard Erdling from Rieger, have written articles that discuss “What’s New” with their companies.  If you want more information, you can go to their website or call them (www.m-real.com for Kemi & www.rieger-papier.com for Rieger)

We appreciate the opportunity to work with these fine companies.  If you want to know about  “What’s New”  in other graphic related direct print areas, let us know.

We’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Regards,

David Callif
